Bus Connects is the most contentious issue across the Southeast Local area. I have attended many many meetings and obviously I made submissions to the first round of consultation. We are all waiting anxiously to see the new proposals in March.

Do Not assume it is a done deal, continuous meetings are taking part to reduce the impact of the proposed plan and significant changes were made to Dublin’s original plan. I do Not support the original design.

Public Consultation on 12 New Sustainable Transport Corridors (STCs) for Cork

The first round of public consultation is now closed. All submissions will be considered as part of the consultation process, and we would like to thank you for having your say.

Bus Connects Cork is the National Transport Authority’s plan for the delivery of a sustainable public transport network for the Cork Metropolitan Area. The NTA is currently developing plans to introduce 12 new Sustainable Transport Corridors, including approx 93 km of bus lane / bus priority and 112 km of cycle facilities (one direction) delivering 56 km of the cycle network across the city. Investing in a sustainable future for Cork is vital for supporting the city’s growth over the coming two decades.

After the publication of the revised plan Due in March 2023 , a new round of submissions will be accepted.
